Welcome to Attenborough Class!
Hello, Our names are Mrs Murphy and Miss Shelmerdine and we are ithe class teachers in Year 1 / 2 Attenborugh class this year. We both have been at Cheadle Heath Primary School over ten years and have both taught in Key Stage One and Key Stage Two previously. We are enjoying working alongside Miss King-Barker and Mrs Hulbert in our new KS1 team.
In KS1 we build on the solid foundations established in Reception and continue to support children as they grow into confident, independent learners. Our classroom is a nurturing and engaging environment where every child is encouraged to thrive. We follow the full Key Stage 1 curriculum while continuing to use elements of continuous provision to support learning through play, exploration and hands-on experiences. This approach allows us to meet each child’s individual needs while fostering a love of learning that will last a lifetime. It’s a pleasure to guide and support the children on the next stage of their educational journey.
Outside of school we both enjoy spending time with our own children and families.
I hope that this page, along with Class Dojo, will keep parents and carers up to date with all the wonderful things that are happening in Attenborugh Class.
