LEGO® Therapy

LEGO® Therapy is one of the structured interventions delivered within OASIS. It is an evidence-informed approach designed to develop social communication skills through collaborative LEGO building.

Children work in groups of three, taking on specific roles — Engineer, Supplier and Builder — to construct a model together. This structured format supports:

  • Turn-taking and sharing

  • Clear communication

  • Problem-solving

  • Teamwork

  • Understanding different perspectives

The predictable structure provides security, while the engaging nature of LEGO motivates participation. Children develop skills within the small group that can then be transferred back into the classroom, playground and wider community.
