We have a 40 part time place Nursery Class with caring, experienced staff who offer exciting first hand experiences for children . Nursery places on a two and a half full day basis. We also offer 15 hour free entitlement places for children usually in the September before their 4th birthday.
We encourage our children to explore both the internal and external environment and encourage them to challenge themselves, be creative and be confident when encountering new experiences. It is important that we build a close partnership with parents / carers and all the staff are keen to share and celebrate your child’s progress with you.
All Nursery places must be applied for online. Please click here to visit the Admissions website
Admission to Reception is through Stockport MBC in the autumn term of the previous academic year i.e. the September before your child becomes five.
We have 60 places available for school admission in September 2018 and further details of the admission procedure can be found on the Stockport Council website. In September 2017 we welcomed 56 pupils into Reception, 42 of whom had put us as their first preference. All admissions to the school (for both Nursery places and Reception places) must be completed online, there are no paper copies available.
Details regarding applications for Nursery, Primary and Secondary places can be found here. You are required to express up to six preferences but we’d be very happy if Cheadle Heath was at the top of your list!
You can check to see if you live within our catchment area by typing in your postcode HERE. Please note, it is not only children within catchment who are accepted for places at our school.

SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS:
Children have a range of needs, including physical or sensory difficulties, language difficulties and emotional / behavioural difficulties. We always endeavour to meet the needs of individual children and most children find their needs can be met within a mainstream school. Some children, however, may have additional needs which require additional support; for example a learning difficulty or a disability that means they find it harder to learn than other children in their age group. Our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENDCO) will help you with any concerns during your child’s time at Cheadle Heath Primary School.
If your child has special educational needs you can read more about the admissions process here.
